“ ‘us’ is a reflection on our relationships in urban space;
on identity and otherness.
Urban society only exists as a relationship.

In the apparent urban disorder,
there is a wonderful order that gives life to the city streets;
a complex order that involves
a constant succession of movements and looks
that transforms the ‘individual’ into the ‘collective’; the ‘I’ into ‘we’.

‘Us’ is the sum of the ‘I’ and the ‘you’ – it is a binomial, an organic pair.

This work deals with the impossibility of talking about oneself without showing the other.

‘us’ also seeks to reveal the social disturbances resulting from the
transformation of the city (and lives) caused by real estate renovation that
erases physical and emotional spaces.

In this new arrangement of space public,
the ground is merely the base for several constructed levels.
The spaces are interchangeable but impersonal.
Depleted of ‘collective memory’,
people do not appropriate them nor weave affective relationships;
they only maintain consumer relationships there.”
