A moral failing &#8220;<br \/>Dominique Baqu\u00e9<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4edd0bf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4edd0bf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u201cWhat happens when there is a \u2018wall\u2019 between us?<br \/>In this work, I seek to reveal the \u2018walls\u2019 that separate us.<br \/>I carry out an extensive photographic documentation of the \u2018walls\u2019 of Paris.<br \/>Through technical choices and a pre-established protocol,<br \/>the \u2018wall\u2019 is isolated by an extreme frontality and framing.<br \/>The images show only large surfaces of \u2018walls\u2019<br \/>that eradicate any figure.<br \/>Each image is a close-up portrait of a \u2018wall\u2019.<br \/>They reveal contemporary chaos \u2014 the movement of exclusion within our society, <br \/>the return to feudal conditions in social relations.<br \/>The &#8220;wall&#8221; is the symbol of societies in ruins. <br \/>Omnipresent, it imposes itself physically and conceptually on our ordinary lives. <br \/>It is a political construction that separates, imprisons, <br \/>prevents passage, prevents vision, and hides differences.<br \/>\u2018Walls\u2019 articulate physical and metaphysical limits; borders established as forces (dynamis). <br \/>In urban space there are walls, partitions, and countless barriers<br \/>and obstacles that are also \u2018walls\u2019. <br \/>Some are solidly built, others equally solid, despite being internalized.<br \/>Whether institutional, social or self-imposed barriers, the \u2018wall\u2019 is the most visible sign.<\/p><p>So far, this work has been limited to dealing with the urban context and has only been developed in Paris.
