\u201cIn this work, created in the Serra do Mar, in the heart of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest,<\/span><\/i><\/p>

I present a mirrored world,<\/span><\/i><\/p>

an ecosystem reflected, doubled, and divided by its image in water.<\/span><\/i><\/p>

It is a meditation on my being-in-the-world.<\/span><\/i><\/p>

Through these images, I seek to reveal the otherness<\/span><\/i><\/p>

that lies at the core of the self \u2014<\/span><\/i><\/p>

for this alterity defines the very essence of consciousness.<\/span><\/i><\/p>

By its very nature, the self is reflexive \u2014<\/span><\/i><\/p>

as language reminds us,<\/span><\/i><\/p>

especially in the rigorous clarity of Latin syntax.<\/span><\/i><\/p>

The self refers \u2014<\/span><\/i><\/p>

but always returns to the subject.<\/span><\/i><\/p>

It marks a relation of the subject to itself,<\/span><\/i><\/p>

and an opening toward the other<\/span><\/i>.<\/span> \u201d \u00b2<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
